ELECO

ELECO (short for electronic lighting experiment company) was a creative reuse lighting projected that I worked on in 2021. The premise was to combine found objects into interesting lamps. Most of my materials came from second hand industrial stores (they sell items like HVAC piping, screws, roof tiles, etc) or thrift stores. During the project I found 3 large sheets of neon orange polycarbonate plastic which I laser cut and used in many of the lamps. Here are some of my favorite creations.

This lamp was made from HVAC piping, a motorcycle headlight, a polycarbonate lense and an electric oven knob that functioned as the on/off switch.

This lamp is made from electrical conduit and boxes found

These lamps are made from polycarbonate. All light sockets and most light bulbs were found second hand or taken from past projects.

This is CORTEQ.

CORTEQ is make from a broken iphone tripod, an emergency marine light and an overhead cabin lightbulb for a car.

This lamp is made from a tire balance I found at a second hand store. The cone balances on a spindle that I hooked up as a dimmer for the lamp.

More to come….
